This diorama was constructed with Legomikos, member of HispaLUG^®.

It represents a moment of the Battle of Yavin that takes place near the end of the film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

"Luke Skywalker, on his X-Wing, overflies a trench of Death Star on his try to destroy it while is persecuted by Darth Vader on a TIE Advance x1. Han Solo and Chewbacca, aboard the MiIllennium Falcon, have just destructed one of the Tie Fighters that escort Darth Vader. Meanwhile, outside the trench one Y-Wing takes part in the battle."

Detail of the ships:

Millennium Falcon. It is the set 7778 that Legomikos put on the diorama on a masterful way: while it is leaning it is not connected by any stud, and although you shook the table it did not move a millimeter.

Y-Wing. It is a little MOD of the ship that can be made with the sets 4488, 4489, 4490 and 4491. I made the copy only by observing some photos of the ship so there are some things that are not constructed the same way as the original. Afterwards I made some modifications, but in general is very similar to the original ship.

Tie Fighter. It is  variation of the colours of the set 8028 (grey instead of the original blue).

X-Wing. MOD of the sets 30051 and 9677. It is a stud longer than them, The colours are slightly different and when closing the wings they are kept closer than in the original models.

TIE Advanced x1. It is not based on any other set. It should have been a stud shorter, but I preferred to maintain the shape of the wings with the type of pieces I used.
